Fathers Day stuff.
Thu, 2009-06-18 10:35.
I could write a very sad entry for this weekend as this will be my 3rd Father-less Father's day but I decided to go in another direction. Don't get me wrong, I will be definitely thinking about my Dad on Sunday especially watching Tiger Woods and golf(2 of his favorite things.)But here's some practical advice on what Pops really wants from this special day and some great quotes about being a Father.
Do not buy him socks, ties, slippers or a bathrobe. No matter how many you see displayed at the mall, resist. Seriously, it's like buying your wife a blender for mother's day.
Joseph Aboud & Me
Thu, 2009-06-04 12:27.
You may or may not be award that Kim and Colleen along with the fine folks from Joseph Aboud have endeavored to make me over. Well at least my clothes. I mean a full body make-over would take a team of Doctors and trainers and possibly a research grant.
No these are clothes and I'm telling you I love them. I really do.
I am not much for shopping but K and C and JA have made me a believer and I'm really digging these new threads.
They are stylish, cool, comfortable and best of all I can match all the different colors easily. (I am color-blind which is why I mostly dress in white/brown or black. At least I think I do.)
Soccer madness begins again...
Tue, 2009-05-26 10:00.
6 times a week in our house one of the kids is looking for a water bottle or can't find their shin-pads or socks and we're running out the door to another Soccer "occasion."In our family that's the norm. I know that many of you also have that same scenario because Soccer and not Hockey is truly Canada's national sport. Maybe not sentimentally but in terms of participation.
More Canadian kids take part in soccer every week than any other sport and I think that's cool.
I didn't play it as a child but I've enjoyed watching my girls grow up running after that round ball and having the time of their lives.
And yet another reason to like John Tesh...
Mon, 2009-05-04 09:48.
One of the most surprising things that's happened to me since I've been here at the Mighty EZ is finding out how cool a guy John Tesh turned out to be.I'm serious.
I always thought he was a bit of a nerd-linger from watching him on Entertainment Tonight but since he's been a regular guest on the show I must tell you he is FUNNY! Yes he's all "Intelligence for your Life!" which follows KJ every night at 6pm and yes he's an accomplished musician but I had no idea how truly humorous he is. Each time he's on he never fails to be weird, strange, amusing, clever and funny.
The Awesome Power of GOOGLE!!!!
Tue, 2009-04-14 10:29.
Here's a little bit of net-stuff that may help when your searching for whatever it your looking for.Have you noticed that everyone thinks they're the ones who can really find things on the internet. (These, by the way, are the same people who also think they're really funny and they can sing!!)
"Oh yeah, we'll let me just Google that up for you..."
"...don't worry I can find that in no time.."
Meanwhile your eyes are rolling back in your head as you wait Minutes for them to finish trying to enter the proper search terms. That's the key finding the right word that will lead to the results you desire.

That Fox News show and why it's NOT FUNNY!
Tue, 2009-03-24 09:18.
Listen, I know a thing or two about satire and trying to be funny but that Fox News program that took "funny" shots at us, our country and our Canadian Military went too far.I watched it and I was livid. In fact I posted some pretty spicy comments (four letter words!) on my website HumbleHoward.com. If you haven't' seen this yet I must warn you it will make your blood boil and I trust you'll find my use of certain profanities justified.
Have a look here but only if you're in the right mood!
Food and parental food for thought...
Wed, 2009-03-18 17:11.
Well you must know by now that we on the EZ Morning show love to eat and talk food, except for Rick who would have us believe he is fed intravenously once a day when he eventually get's back to the Cat-Farm in Barre.Anyway, we were pretty excited about the new street food coming to our city starting in late May.
I think it reflects well on TO that our sidewalk fare more accurately showcase our cities diversity.
Here are the new culinary delights and where you can find them.
Mel Lastman Square - Pad Thai with fresh rolls (Thai)
Metro Hall - Chapli kebabs (Afghan-Central Asian)
The Ingredients every couple needs for great..."relations"(...and by "relations" I mean....S*X!)
Wed, 2009-03-11 10:08.
We did this on the big broadcast Wednesday and I found it quite interesting...maybe you will too.According to Marie Clare magazine these are some of the main ingredients that go into a great love life for couples. (Btw I couldn't pronounce Marie Clare...I thought that it was pronounced like "Mary" instead of "Marie" as in Sweet Marie...uh anyway.)
Here's the list. I'm sure there are more.
1)Spontaneity.
2)Mutual Attraction.
3)An intangible spark.
4)An emotional connection.
5)Mutual Selflessness.
6)Confidence.
7)An open mind and a willingness to try new things.
Stuff I don't get part 2...The Bachelor!
Wed, 2009-03-04 11:47.
The other day the 13th season finale of The Bachelor caused quite a stir amongst some of the show members. Okay mainly Jessica Baker who supply's the finest in EZ Stress-Saver traffic each and every day.She was apoplectic.(Really just a big word for "all freaked out!")
Apparently the Bachelor dude was supposed to marry Molly but he chose Melissa instead.
Oh my.
Jessica came in to our studio and announced she'd only had 45 minutes of sleep because of this cataclysmic event.
Me being The Bachelor expert that I am sympathized by expressing the following," Oh please, who are these people and why do you care?"
