4th of July Coney Island "an amazing moment...a photo finish. The fans not disappointed" A tie! Are you kidding me. Kobayashi goes down to defeat. "A one dog difference with 30 seconds to go" A new competitive eating champ, All American Joey Chestnut. Check out the size of the crowd. ESPN coverage. It all came down to a 5 dog eatoff! I am speechless. Not feeling well.

I am not a techno junkie, but I do love all those cool toys. In a world of useless gadgets, a new techno toy does not have to affect my life in a meaningful way for me to buy it, but it does have to be somewhat practical for me to shell out the money. I sure would like a shiny new iPhone: sleek and sexy, and loaded with all kinds of goodies. I love the multi touch screen, virtual keyboard, the camera and the media player; but do I really want to surf the net and check my email on my new iPhone 24/7? Not really! Besides, after checking out the various contracts it comes down to it just being too much money.

How to avoid road rage!
Attention: watch out for cars with bumper stickers!
A recent study by Colorado State University has concluded that drivers who put bumper stickers, vanity plates, toys with heads that bob up and down in their rear windows, as well as other territorial markers on their cars are more likely to lose it; apparently they are additionally aggressive and become provoked more easily. God help you if you are too slow at a traffic light - these drivers are more apt to tail gate, honk and give you the one finger salute.

I can't begin to tell you how thrilled I was to have won the June 7th Front Row Barry Manilow tickets and dinner at il Fornello in the recent raffle. This was the most amazing evening from start to finish. Can you say butterflies?????? I took Liz, a very dear friend and co-worker.

I miss my Dad every day. His word was his bond, the one thing I could count on. If he said it he meant it. If he said yes it was yes and if he said no it was no... I can see! Wow I didn't know what I was missing. Thanks to Troy for filling in for me yesterday. I was having the time of my life at Toronto East General having cataract surgery. If you ever need to have this simple operation done, don't sweat it. Painless and quick. Just don't ask the Doctor to describe the procedure because you will never get it done.
