The TTC's Brad Ross, Director of Corporate Communications says if they don't do something the transit commission is looking at a $5-million loss in revenue in 2008 alone.

Case in point a TTC ticket collector was arrested Tuesday night and accused of selling bogus tickets from her booth at Wilson and Ossington stations. 31 year old Nafisa Zahur is facing more than a dozen charges. Ross says she'll be fired from the TTC job which she has held for 2 years.

The TTC says that counterfeiters are getting better and the fake tickets are harder to spot. Student, senior and children tickets won't be affected.

Police have asked people who purchased adult tickets from TTC booths this week to check their tickets' serial numbers for two series: A7731069-A7731072 and A7660481-A7660484. People in possession of these tickets are asked to contact police.

Brad joined Paul and Carol Mott on the Bill Carroll morning show to explain.
