Zoom Airline passengers all over the world are stranded now that the Ottawa-based company has cancelled all of its flights after filing for protection from creditors.

The move has affected two flights coming into Pearson Airport: flight Z4429 from Jamaica and flight Z4523 from Scotland. One departure, flight Z4410 to London, was cancelled.

The discount-carrier owes money to creditors, suppliers, the government and airports - including Pearson. GTAA officials will not comment as to how much money is owed.

CFRB's Katie Franzios has more.

Zoom blames the rising fuel costs and a bad economy for the move, which affects both passengers and over 600 staff.
