Katie Franzios reports on possible property tax hike.

All it takes is one letter to outgoing City Manager Shirley Hoy. The 2009 Budget process has begun. and Mayor David Miller says his plans may include a property tax hike.

This, to achieve his plans such as increasing public transit services and starting up the city's 311 service.

Miller says that would be between two and four percent, something similar to this year's hike of 3.6 per cent.

CFRB's Katie Franzios has more.

That means for the owner of a home assessed at the city average of $370,000, it would be around $80 dollars more per year.
