Amber Gero's report on shots fired into a North York home
A North York family received an unpleasant surprise Tuesday night when shots were fired into their home.
The shooting happened just before 9:30 p.m. at a Toronto Community housing complex on Allenbury Gardens, near Don Mills Road and Sheppard Ave. East.
The family was said to be at home when the shooting happened but no one was hurt.
Police are looking for the shooter but have no suspect description. They're asking anyone with information to call them at 416-808-3300 or to give Crime Stoppers an anonymous tip at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
It was two weekends ago that a 17 year-old girl was grazed by a bullet as she slept in her family's Rexdale home. No arrests have been made in that case.
