Canadian Tire Jump Start gives kids the chance to bike

Canadian Tire and City of Toronto is helping kids in financial need from around the city 'jump start' their biking skills. About 25 kids got brand new helmets and learned about road safety at the Jump Start event . Many more will get their bikes by next spring.

Over 20 Canadian tire stores in Toronto participated in this used bikes and sports equipment drive.The Canadian Jump Start foundation launched in 2005 helps kids in financial need participate in organized sports.

Every year, about 1000 bikes are collected. All the bikes will be expertly refurbished and cleaned over the winter months and distributed to the kids in the spring.
